Our in-folding universe
Years ago, when I was younger, it was common to hear statements as well as in song words such as “the universe is unfolding” or “reach for the stars” or “in search of universal truth” or “child of the universe”.
Now, just days before the year 2007, I sense that something very different is happening in our world. Something has changed while still encompassing the old and proven uniqueness of human kind and personal growth.
You know from your day-to-day experiences that we are bombarded by issues both locally and internationally. From water quality, to storms, to war, etc.
Do you think there is common ground to these issues? Do we really care enough to affect these issues? If we don’t, will they sneak up on us and bite our back sides in complete devastating surprise?
I believe that the answer is without a doubt a resounding YES to all of these questions.
A point we can ponder. Everything on this planet is alive. Allow your thoughts to go deep to fully understand this. This may need a second read.
Our planet is also protected totally by a very thin layer of atmosphere that ensures us that life may continue. Something like the roof of your home. Can you imagine what life would be like if suddenly the roofs from your homes were removed without warning? Yikes!! Total vulnerability would prevail. Many would perish from exposure, especially in our colder climates.
Notice how before I gave you this thought provoking information, we took for granted our safety and stability. Word pictures can make change.
We no longer feel like we should be careless and unobserving towards things that really matter around us.
If in 2007 we begin to concentrate on statements like “we should be in-folding” or “see from within ourselves, what is” or “from the inside of me, should I bring others to meet my unending love for the people around me”.
It is from the inside of us that truth dwells. It is only we that will or can allow this to surface and be seen or felt by others. This is our choice always.
Do we dare “in-fold” and really search the reefs and the coves of our inner being? Do we, so to speak, need a spring cleaning? Do we know how to get clean?
Notice these thoughts have nothing to do with others. These thoughts are totally self-applicable and available simply upon request.
Just as you have unconscious hope of a new sunrise tomorrow, so to should you hope for a fresh clean heart that has in-folded to use and feel it’s beautiful positive powers.
Simply stated, for example, can you imagine deliberately in-folding with a loved one. You would draw that person toward the very fibre of your being, where truth lies and waits to surround and comfort. Can you also imagine if your loved one would do the same. Like oxygen is to earth, so truth is to human kind.
If we think about it, all travesties come from the truth being blocked or voided. Notice in Africa with their horrific massacres how, years later, the people who killed now “in-fold” to sincerely apologize.
Had they in-folded at the time of the killings, they would not have carried out such massive genocide.
In short, we need to learn how to in- fold. Our society just hasn’t taught us how. It is a natural ability and our world needs to practice in-folding.
If we did:
1. Would people be taught to believe that our Creator wants us to kill others in His name?
2. Would colour make a difference toward acceptance?
3. Would woman be treated as a second rate member of our planet?
4. Would First Nation reservations need to continue to be impoverished to the point of hopelessness.
5. Would global warming be allowed to take hold?
6. Would we continue to proceed on the path of greed and power?
7. Would we allow world hunger to continue when we know that we could fix it?

One thing is for certain. Our ability to collectively in-fold is directly proportional to our planet’s well being. Long life and much happiness to all.
