The Necessary Tools
Have you ever been overwhelmed by the complexities of life? I am sure we all have experienced the “in your face” roadblocks that can arise from time to time.
Have you ever wondered what might be the best approach toward overcoming these temporary but sometimes overpowering or crippling feelings and unavoidable circumstances?
When we stop and think about it, we will see that within ourselves we have been beautifully equipped to launch a coping mechanism.
Note that this is constantly at our disposal and at the forefront of our conscious mind. In other words we naturally have healing powers that will kick into play if we let them or know how to put them into play.
It is when outside elements such as drugs, alcohol or the power of an abuser affects us, we find ourselves lost and incapable of finding our way clear and safe from harm.
Even with that threat to eventually cause hopelessness from inside oneself, we still have that power from inside of us to make change.
Easy to do? I did not suggest that it would be easy. What I am suggesting is that as we decide to move toward the light, our life’s circumstances that are always part of us begin to move in unison rhythms with our progress and desire to overcome.
These rhythms, (let’s call them drum beats) although sometimes feeble and erratic, slowly begin to give us the constant pacing that we will need. These so called drum beats begin to set the pace that we can begin to succeed with.
As we progress through our difficulty, we begin to glide as though we gently touch the webs of a dream catcher collecting ever increasing strength to finally heal ourselves.
Also, yes, sometimes with great anguish, we stumble and fall on our way, but always seem to be nourished from the inside of us to be encouraged to pick ourselves up again.
Like a vision of the great Canadian Moose as it reaches shore from the long swim, we stand up tall, shake off our burden and quietly with pride move forward toward our destination.
This journey has left us more complete, stronger and filled with forthright expertise to complete our life cycle as we are intended to. More able to cope with the next difficulty that may arise.
It comes from the inside, flowing outward to leave our mark that shows we, too, were here!
Remember this thought your knowledge always will be limited, your imagination stretches to infinity.
That’s how you can become better than your present self.
